are ice blu headlights legal in queensland? i got given them and want to know before i go out tonight
Whats the brand mate? Have you put power on them to see if the light is blue? If not, just put 12V on them, and shine the light on a piece of paper. If it looks white, they are fine. Most bulbs are covered in a blue tint, so you think the light that comes out will be super blue, but its not. Still white/yellow. They would have to be a really strong blue to get noticed, and if you have ever seen the xenons in some of the hsv's/beema's, you notice they are normally bluer than any other type anyway. The real problem is when you change from the 55/60W to the 110/120W. They suck twice as much juice, and are going to be alot brighter than permitted. They are the ones that will get you in trouble.
ohk. well dont kno he brand but when we teste them they looked yellowis white. pretty sure they are 55/60 watt. so as long as they arnt really blue they'll be fine?
I have never seen this stamp, but ok. I wouldnt be too worried, police would have a hard time trying to prove it doesnt comply with ADR. You dont have to prove to them. They have to be really obvious to be noticed.
mine are not adr approved (it says for show car use only on box) but i have never been pulled up for them, and they are blue, red, green, different colours in different light and at diff angles, and sure as hell bright. lol my mate cant look head on at me he reckons cos they is really bright
I've got a set in ... and driving around DARK areas, they do actually light up the road a bit better. I've noticed in rain/fog ... they're pretty crap compared to stock, but when you're driving around in stuff like that you should have your high's on when you can. Driving around suburban streets or poorly lit areas, they put out a cripser cleaner light... and they're barely noticeable. You'd have to p1ss the copper off a hell of a lot for him to ping you for it, they're pretty harmless. It's like getting defected for having different colored number plate lights.... possible but very improbable.
