Identify VN VP VQ VR VS Trip Computer

Here is a list of numbers that can be used to work out what Level 3 trip computer you have in your Commodore.

VN GREEN 88 39449
VN GREEN 89 39449
VN BLUE 91 40748
VQ BLUE 91 40748
VP RED 92 40748
VR GREEN 93 44378
VR GREEN 94 44378
VS GREEN 96 44378
VS LT GREEN 98 44378

This number is stamped on the main ODO chip inside the trip computer.

Many trip computers are sold as "fits VN VP VQ VR VS" This is not completely true

This may be the case in most cases - but if you have a VP and fit a VR trip computer the cruise will not work.

Nor will speed alert or low fuel............

I put together 2 different damaged levels 3 dashs.

Now I can tell what model the donor dash was from.

Yeah thanks ebay which is why i had 2 dashs in the first place.

Some other info.

You can swap the Series 1 LCD screens (thin numbers) over with fat numbers (Series 2) - but they must go in the same spot - as in the middle LCD must remain in the middle - as with the left and right LCD screens.

I also have a complete set of ID's for the cluster PCB (plastic bit on the outside). Lens too.

I'm still working on how to identify the V8 tacho vs V6 - all have the same numbers in the VN series:bang:
