idle hunting in drive

hi all my ecotec last night why'l driving started to do strange idle.
i was slowing down to stop at lights and the taco needle started moving up and down between 1000 rpm to 1500 rpm. then once i was stoped its fine but i did notice that why'll im stopped if i put the window down (electric) the idle changes again can some please help me?

reset your computer, disconnect the battery (-) for a couple minutes and try.

Idle usually changes when you use your windows or power items etc, you'll find that its worse when the window has finished its travel but the switch hasn't returned to neutral.

sounds like a low voltage battery or crappy alternator if the RPM drops while the window is being used. not enough power to spark and do the windows at the same time. 1000 is a pretty high idle anyway.
