Just looking for some knowledge
1. Does anyone use a ODB device on a VF Evoke and if so can you recommend good software/app for this?
2. When sitting idle the idle of the car will slightly fluctuate about 100 to 200 rpm.
Any ideas on what could cause this?
Has not effect on the running of the car just have never had this with any other car before.

Cheers to all and appreciate any responses.

1. I use an obd dongle on my VF redline just to clear codes. Cost me 30$ roughly.
2. Mines a V8 and can tell when the fuel has been really bad. Idles rough and is very inconsistent. That's just the nature of how bad our fuel is here, 98 isn't created equal and each servo has different fuel on the day.

The infamous V6 wobbles....got a 2010 VE and they eat Throttle bodies and position sensors for breakfast. Done 240000 kms and changed her twice.
May just be a dirty butterfly plate on the throttle body; (very common) but the fluctuations from my experience are usually that.
Not sure how true it is; but I was told by the workshop that did the timing chain on my VE (yes you can possibly look forward to that as well) that they ran the same engines through the VF 6s as they did the VE.
Good luck with it...

Oh and if you get the “stability control” fault show up in the dash; get a few hundred ready for the throttle body and position sensor.....

Also clean your MAF sensor; it can be as simple as that...

Just run any air filter through them and problem is the same....Mine is stock and the amount of MAF sensor cleaner cans I have gone through is nuts...personally I would not (can’t now anyway) ever buy a Holden V6

Yeah a lot of people over oil their K&N's.

I'd oil mine and let them sit all day and overnight to let the oil run out before reinstalling them.
