Ignition key problems or how to remove the barrel without a key.

OK, no information yet. This thread is asking for permission to show how to get an VR or like ignition out without a key and without damaging the stalk to replace the barrel if your key does not work. Yes this can be used for thieving but they already know how anyway. So I can give a pictorial run through of how to take out an ignition lock? What are the rules? This will if allowed, be based on the returned ignition lock the locksmith gave me. Reverse engineering if you like. Am I allowed to do this? It will be explicit.

I'm seeking permission because I never found any when I needed it and I know it's a perennial problem.

Edit: This does not bypass any other security. Just removing the barrel. Could someone condone or condemn it? I'd like to share what you can get from a returned dead lock.
