Ignition problem

    I just installed a ignition barrel in my vr acclaim. It was turning but when I took the key out it locked up and I can't turn the key. I need to turn the key to take it back out but I don't know what's wrong. Any ideas???

    Tap it gently on the side....use a small hammer and take it easy....many taps may be needed. Make sure the steering lock is not engaged (wheel moves freely?)

    Yeah the wheel moves freely. My mate tried putting the steering lock on but that wouldn't work

    Also try pushing the key in when turning.

    Have. Tried all that. Just going to bust it and get a new housing and ignition.
