ignition problem

    ignition problem in my vn commodore it is jammed and steering wheel is locked how can i get car back home for repairs as it stuck in town key will not turn to disengage steering lock will have to go back down and break ignition off steering wheel just to get it home hope that will work? any help with this problem would be welcomed thanks

    have you tried rocking the wheel to disengage the pin while you turn the key?

    yes. ignition is jammed solid can not turn no matter what i do

    turn it hard enough and you will break the pin that stops you from turing your steering wheel..

    once home replace the steering colum

    problem cured went to work on car this bloke working nearby with drill borrowed it and drilled ignition out which released steering lock took back of ignition off and started car with small screwdriver how lucky was that
