Illumination problems

    yesterday i had a fellow member install a level 3 cluster into my vs exec,

    all went well just there is a illumination problem,
    when the ignition is on all three of the lcd screens lght up as normal and the cluster has the back lights on really dull
    but when you turn your headlights on the screens and the dull back lights turn off.
    the gear selector and blower controls work as normal.

    anyone have a idea what could cause this??? earth being used backwads is what im leaning too.
    checked fuses all globes

    if u paid for it id get the installer to look at it and fix it.

    perhaps he shouldnt be playing with it sean if he doesnt know what hes doing.

    Those LCD's are light sensitive,if you dont have that sencer,it could be your problem

    took the dash appart today and had a look
    turns out someone was slack and just desided to plug the stateman loom in and leave it,

    thought they knew what they were doing and said they did know, but they were wrong!!!
    not going to name names or anything.

    but good news is ive solved the problem temperarly by reconnected the orignal loom so it at least lights up and works.
    tommorow i will be doing it PROPERLY
