Immobiliser or fuel pump circuit

Yes they went every two months. Until I replaced the whole 8 car was going great and now fuel pump . What next.

Worth talking to HCC and/or a your dealer but there was never a recall on this fault.

It may have been handled quietly as a grey recall, where it was fixed at the dealer when the vehicle was presented for service but I don’t think that was the case.

I think it was only handled via customer complaint and either charged at the going rates or done gratis if the vehicle was still under factory warranty or gratis as a guest ute of good will (= under your ACL statutory warranty rights) if the customer complained appropriately.

It’s a known defect in the design of the plug/wiring as it seems the connector needed a higher current carrying capacity than what the plug could reliably handle. If you have this issue, I’d push for it to be fixed at Holden’s cost as you may not have easy access so getting to the plug which iirc is on top of the tank so it may be a problem and thus need the tank dropped (big $$).

engines are unopened...

all 4 cars have only had.. tyre, brake and shocker replacements in their life (one has had a busted screen last year)

by the book servicing (which I insist on, drivers get reminders if I don't get copies of the ROs)

My car is a 2016 VFseries 2 LS3 motor V8 Holden Commodore . The car is out of factory warranty.
