Figure out the LPG **** and how to get it to run/switch over to petrol.
Is it LPG injection or one of the stupid mixer setups? If it's injection it might be worth another look if you're going to daily it with NZ petrol prices, works a lot better when it's only setup for one fuel instead of trying to cover 2 and injection eliminates the backfiring problems that blow the airboxes on these engines apart, also should run with the same performance as petrol. E85 flex tune would be good though.
As for a fleet car, yeah, totally possible. Bottom line is the dollar and people are cheap. Meeting basic mandated safety means good enough for most, and given some of the cars you're allowed to register in NZ (pretty jelly, Aus is hard for interesting stuff) it's kinda unsurprising.
