My low beams on my VR are hopeless, sometimes I stuggle to actually see, my high beams are about equivilant to most cars low beam. When I was driving my dads car, his low beam was great vision, and high beams flooded the whole area as far as I could see ahead. So yeh I got the same problem.

I got a set of Philips crystal vision globes and it made a big difference. I gave the lights an alignment with the new globes too which helped

By the sounds of it, everybody is having trouble with the low beams, but high beams are great. Im in the same boat. Its as if theres nothing on at all half the time.

Lowered Commodores will have worse low beam lighting simply because they are closer to the ground and the beam spread is reduced - think about it.

I have recently put the altezza headlights in and boy do they make a difference. My car is lowered superlow and I use Xenon bulbs in the Altezzas see for miles on high and low is nicely spread out and probably a good 50 odd metres vision. They also look a lot cleaner than the standard lights.
I paid $320.00 for the headlights and blinkers but I think on Ebay you can get them for about $270.00 for both. I like to support my local Auto1 he goes OK.

To install front altezza lights you will need to remove the front bumper. The view at night is no different, the light still goes through a piece of glass, just like the standard lights. Are legal. No reason why they wouldnt be. Same shape and design, just different refector material and glass. Ebay is the cheapest for the headlights.
