@panheadI’d ask them to also check the carpet and underlay for any mold and replace them if any is found. Otherwise, the smell may go but the mold spores will remain dormant under the carpet for years. Ignore this post as I missed your last line that they are replacing the carpet (and presumably the underlay?).


There was no mention of replacing the underlay but you would think if the carpet is affected then so to would be the underlay.

Thanks for bringing it up as now I'll ask the question to be sure.

So is this at dealers expense and not billed back to Holden as they stuffed up? The carpet has the underlay attached to it.

The underlay is part of the carpet, they are replaced as one.

One would think so as Holden has already paid for the work to be done.

It's an interesting question as it would imply charge backs between different dealers fixing up each others stuff ups.
