VE SV6 series I
Hi everyone. Long time reader, first time posting/registering.

I'm trying to remove my centre speaker from a ve sv6 series 1. I've followed threads posted before, but I've run into one problem.

The sensor on the dash prevents me from lifting the trim up and out so I can take out the mesh covering for the speaker because of the connected wire only having so much slack on it.

Any tips, forum linka or help on this would be great, couldn't find anything on this specific issue. Thanks :D

the sensor has nothing to do with it, the mesh has its own clips. i just took mine out today to take that bastard of a center speaker out

I don't have enough space to clear the mesh as the panel in front of it can't be cleared because of that wire connecting the sensor.

There is a silver trim that goes across front of the dash where the glove box is.
Simply unclip /remove that and you will find some screws beneath that that hold in the center speaker pannel.
