Why is the Chev badge ok on VEs, and no pre VEs? Holden have been exporting their product as chevs for years (back to at least the VT days), not that it should matter, they were all owned by GM.

VE's cause unlike the pre VE they didn't openly say CHEV on it.. can i refer you back a few years when the VE came out and the V8s started to race over in iran or what ever desert country it was... they exported the holdens there as CHEVs so in my book holden made a chevy for export and as far as my knowleadge goes pre VE they put them under OPEL, VAUXHALL or PONTIAC. In Aferica there were HOLDENS.

Thats the point exactly, GM export cars made in Australia to all brands and countrys. One badge on another doesn't really have a place. VE or not ;) The VE is still the same, a car made by holden, exported by GM to other countrys with different badges

Ok, we are on the same page but iam at the bottom and your at the top... Did GMH australia send out vt's or vn's as chevv's I can't recall but i think not the only LEGIT export was the VE so thus a VE with a chev badge seems more plausible then a ratty VP with a chev badge (unless it is just dubbo that has most of these fools)

VN and VPs are based of Opals, just as the others were.

The VTs were def exported to Saudi as Chevs, but once again, chev is a brand of GM. Holden is a brand of GM. Cross breeding badges like that is like putting a Laser badge on your AU ;)

Nope, Aussie made VT Commodores, built in Adelaide as LHD cars, fitted with chev badges ;)

Keep your tickford badges, just like people should keep their holden badges;)

Although Tickford badges are to a Ford what HSV badges are to a commodore. A lot of people put them on Falcons that are not Tickfords. My mates AU has Tickford badges from a previous owner and he loves it
