Indication?

Hey guys and gurls. got a problem that has cropped up with my VY commodore. It keeps blowing the front passenger side indicator globe. I have replaced this twice now. once was a new globe and most recently this morning with a spare i had lying around the shed. When i triggered the central locking, it lit up just fine. Jumped in the car and flicked on the left indicator. worked fine. Got to the end of my road, went to turn left and bam it blew. Any ideas about common wiring faults that could cause this or is it just being difficult?

I would replace the indicator socket and see how that goes. It's cheap enough.
