Might be a stupid question to most people i have a vcm otr and previously i had an air hammer cai the air hammer had a great induction noise but the vcm otr has next to nothing any reason why.

in qld at least too much induction noise is actually illigel so alot of new products try to meet the low noise rules

Just about the same laws everywhere.
Whats the deal with people wanting the sound anyway?

It's not like it sounds good, Ala Tripple SU's or something.

I suppose its each to there own but prefer the induction noise better then a car without one just extra growl cant be a bad thing

Turbulence. Or rather lack thereof is the reason why there is little to no induction noise from a well designed OTR. Intakes like the airhammer and such have a long intake pipe, which allows the air moving through it to bounce off the walls of the piping (particularly the bends) producing the 'intake roar' that is common with pod-style intakes. It's high(er) flowing air moving through intake piping. With the OTR set up being so direct, there is MUCH less chance of any resonance caused by turbulence, due to the cleaner flow of air.
