I've just gotten a vp commi that has no motor or box, was an auto, vn I believe has cable kickdown, but I'm not sure about the vp boxes, if the vp box is electronic kickdown, what is involved in putting the vt or vx v6 and Bo int vp, what is needed, what is interchangeable? Any and all help is much appreciated.

vn/vp essentially the same boxes, vr was the first electronic, there's a sticky in this section about fitting an ecotec and i have posted a thread showing how to fit a vr engine and box into a vn/vp

The Ecotec into a vp is pretty straight forward iv done heaps of research on this and there's heaps of good info on this site do a search and you will find info, but id stick with a kickdown cable box (vn-vp) as they bolt up to a Ecotec and i reckon they are a better box and they have no electronic **** controlling it.

Thanks, I think the biggest problem I'll have will be getting around the computer, I'm not used to these new things
