Just changing the injectors over on my VN V6 and i've got as far as putting the new injectors in. This is where the trouble starts. The new injectors are pushed into the fuel rail, but the clips that hold them in tight on the rail will not go on properly no matter how much I wiggle them about.

They stay splayed out too far where they are meant to sit snug around the injector, so don't hold the injectors in properly. I assume it's because the clips aren't sitting in the little groove at the top of the injectors, but I just can't get it to go in properly! Moving the injector around and up / down hasn't helped and neither has moving the clip about.

Has anyone got any helpful tips or techniques for getting these stupid clips back on properly? It's doing my head in :bang:

the injectors dont fit tight the rubber grommets seal them and the clip just ensures they are down far enough.

the clips just clip on there isnt really anything to it just make sure they are up the right way and you dont push the clips to high over the rail as they will bend and then wont clip back on but you can get away with bending them back in

the clips go on the top ring of the injector so you may have to push them down and if they still wont go on make sure that there arnt any old rubbers in the rail or the manifold

Thanks! I went back out after posting this and got them pretty much straight on! Damn things. The car runs much better now though, and hopefully should be a bit more fuel economic.
