inlet air sensor

    hey all hope someone can help i brought a chip for my car and it says to put it in a connecter on the inlet air sensor but each one i try it sits at 2500 rpm and the engine doesnt sound right any clues?

    throw away the dodgy ebay resistor (not chip) that you bought?....
    thats what id be doing mate.
