Hi, I'll be replacing my inlet manifold gaskets again this weekend. They seem to last about 50,000kms. I was wondering whether it would be OK to spray them with copper gasket coating to extend their life?

Use ali gaskets, like Mace ones. The original ones don't last very long. Even so they should last over 100k not just 50k. Did you thinly smear some oil or spray them with CRC when fitting them? If not they can become damaged when you move the LIM into position to line up the bolt holes.

Thank you for the tip. I'll oil them like you suggest. I already have the plastic gasket set so will use it this time and if I still have the car when they fail next time I will get the metal set.
