Ive looked through this section....and cant find the simple how to install a new head unit in my VX(someone has surely done a how to?)

I need to know how to get started.....i
ie how do I get the old factory eurovox system out of the dash that scares me most
how do I get it out without damaging anything
What do I need to do to be able to mount just a standard head unit in the double sized space that remains.
The wiring part is probably more straightforward as I have seen the post that gives the colours of the vn-vx wiring and should be fairly simple to wire up a new unit with this info?
I dont really need to have the steering wheel controls work on the new unit, what do I leave disconnected here.

If it were just a "oncer" id pay to get it done, but plan to add amps later and perhaps want to upgrade the HU every few years and would "pay me" to find out the tricks of how to get at it myself.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the link.^

Removing the eurovox from the vx is only a 10 sec job........I can do it in that time.
Manufacturing something to hold the new unit....and making the enclosure deep enough....that will be the challenge.
