Installing Air Horns!

Hey all the other day got air horns for a present the dukes of hazard ones 5 air horns one and want to install them myself, question is will they fit in a vt engine bay? If anyone has some pics would be good to get some ideas on setup...Thanks!

um im pretty sure they will. my mate had a vl and just taped all the horns together in one package and shoved them in there somewhere. i wouldnt really be fussed on placement cos they are LOUD!!! as long as they arent near anything moving!

I don't think they are legal if they play a tune.

i think its got somthing 2 do with single tone tunes ur allowed i dunno coulda just been rubbish i heard lol

I fitted dual air horns to my wagon the other day, had to take the bumper off and make a bracket but they fitted well, would be a little worried about putting them in the engine bay, the heat may melt them. It's legal for single tune airhorns but illegal for the ones that play tunes, just run them thru a seperate switch so if you get pulled over you still have the origan horn but can still play the air horns when ever you want

having air horns as ur primary horn is illegal, as long as you have your stock horn connected to its original spot, and the air horns on a seperate switch its legal. Not sure bout the single tone vs multi tone side thou..

mounting horns

ive put triples on a vx,remove your front grill, on the vx you can see two suppourt brackets ,i made up a braket that went side ways and mounted the horns and crompessor,the horn already has a relay from the factory,so wiring to the crompressor only took a few minutes, all done under a hour:thumbsup:
