hello,
the electrical part is simple. it is just that i cant see where to put the wires from the front (under the dash) through to under the bonnet. I see on the left hand side there is a rubber grommet. issue with this one. It is very high. eg. it would go way up high in behind the dash. so basically i can't get to that one. Has anyone else done this easily?
thanks A

grommit

when you say "left hand side", do you mean the passenger side?
If the grommit is behind the suspension tower then yes you can use it,
its not that high up inside under the dash.
You'll have to remove your inside side vent to access it.
Hope this helps!

vent

yes it is the passanger side. You say vent where is this inside the car? or under the hood? Should i be threading it from the outside in? or the other way around. I guess it depends which vent you are talking about and how high it is.
that rubber gromet, would i just poke a hole in it with a screw driver? I will be fixing my amp underneath my parcel shelf. got some good amp rca lead from super cheap. $25 5m very thick and they came with a lead wire connected to it as well!!

OK, the vent is inside the car.
When you open the door, its the side vent that goes to your door vents.
Its the end of your dash pretty much. Few screws holding it in.
I've got a VX, I imagine They'de be similar.
That grommit should just pop straight out, its only soft rubber.
Once you get the grommit out and the vent out you should be able to see a circle of light.
I put my amps in exactly the same spot your goin to put yours, hinds em really well!!! :D :D
Anymore questions let us no! :)

left side of car

this vent is on the left side, can i use the one on the right hand side? I already have the wires to there and also the battery is on that side of the car? Or should i just get a long wire.

Um, I used the left side cause it was the easiest way throught the firewall.
I guess you cold try going throught the wiring loom on the drivers side.
When i ran the cable through the firewall i hide it in the exisiting wiring,
inside the flexible plastic cable cover.
Try not to run your amp power cable with your RCA's either, could cause interference. Pain in the arse to have to do both sides but worth it!!! :D

Blown VS Calais !!
There is a grommet on the drivers side that is in the same spot , it has the bonnet release cable running through it , makes it a little bit hard to get it back in once you run the wire through it.
