After the old indicator comes out, rotate the bulb housing until it comes free. <o =""></o> 3. and 4. Take out the clear bulb and insert the orange bulb. <o =""></o> 5. nice work.... im sure people who want to update s1 vr/vs and otehr to the oval indicators will thank you
yep i've also done this it was one of the first things i did when i got my vr if anyone is interested you can also get clear sqaure repeaters a mate of mine has them i'll find out where he got them from
yeah I know Gimme a couple of days and I'll fix em up...or if you really want them I could e-mail them...
hey ive just done that to my vn it really stands out i like it but i had to cut a hole in the gard seein as there not standed on vns david
You can get the oval clear ones from ozeparts for about $14 a pair, if you look under VTII parts. These will fit a VR or VS. They would probably fit a VP as well because I'd assume the cut-out is the same as a VR and I've seen VP's cruising around with the clear oval lenses - which look way better. Now for a stupid question... does anyone know where I can get the orange bulbs? Or am I gonna have to go to a Holden dealer for them?
The after market manufacturer for the clear side indicators is called "SSS" located in melbourne. I have no part numbers but SSS supply aftermarket lights to autobarn etc. chances are, if you have non genuine tail lights ir headlight glass in your VN - VS, it's probably SSS stuff.
yeah I got mine from autobarn...just take the product code for the bulbs above and they should be able to sort you out.
$14!!!!! i got ripped! i put mine in last year. cost me $48 for the pair! i also got ripped on my tail lights. $340!!!! but at least i was the first in town to have them!
...actually it was $14 each, I misread the thing on Ozeparts, which I noticed when I actually went to order them :hit: But it's still a pretty good deal, and a cheap and quick way to make your car look a lot better.
vk? they wouldnt be gay on a vk would they???? i seen em on a smhick vb... i would have to cut oval holes would I or do they just sit flush with the car?? and wat a try by matty bowen btw bad luck u roaches
You'd have to cut holes, and wire up indicators otherwise you'd just have these lenses sitting there for no reason. I don't know how they'd look on a VK - coz it's a squarer design than the models that people generally do the replacements on (VP/VR/VS/VT1) it might look a bit odd? You might be better off going for the newer square ones that are on the VY/VZ if you really can't live without side indicators.
