Over 30 years for me and I've never understood the issue of taking eyes off the road to check speed.
You don’t live in NSW ... or worse, Victoria. :(

I didn’t either until we bought two VFs that have it.

If I recall correctly @VFSV6FORME did a good write up of this exact job a couple of years back? Haven't the time to search for it at the moment, but he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Yeah I had seen his write about what he did, looks like he was after an option to just plug the HUD into the cars harness but there are no HUD plugs in cars that didn’t have it come fitted. So he went with the option of an after market set up which looks like he did a great job just not what I am after.

I am aware that there are no plugs to have it a plug and play option and I am going to have to wire in the plugs to make it work. Hoping there might be someone on here that has done this and could help out.

Yeah, I didn't read your post properly where you said you wanted a factory unit.

I dont have a hud to look at but i will take a guess and say the data is fed to it via the swcan which is normally a green wire and i would guess there should be a dimmer/brightness control wire unless that is passed through the gmlan.
It would also need the power wires neg and pos.

I would start with finding the schematic for the hud and go from there.

Coz they're the only places that have speed limits, cameras and cops ?

lol

Does the WA state government also employ coppers as Road Side Tax Collectors as well?

Yep, and third party contractors too.

The great thing is it is the one tax that is optional.
