    Hi Guys.
Just wondering if there is a Procedure on installing the TPS Sensor on a 5.7. I will need to replace mine as it gave a low voltage when the Scan tool went on Vehicle and cleared codes. It is still playing up every time when i back off the accelerator. Do these new TPS's need to be adjusted, if so, How?

If the ignition is off, The TPS wiring is not live. So why overcomplicate something so simple?

    Cheers

Do you think i should get the codes cleared before or after the new Sensor is fitted? I would think before, then turn ignition off?
    Any more thoughts?

Get the codes cleared after, that way you don't risk having to have it done twice.

Yep along with ABS. DTC details in another thread. Had Scan Tool on car, gave about 4 codes all based on TPS and ABS.

I would've reset the codes an re-driven the car. You don't know how long ago the codes were logged.

The parts might've been fixed and just never reset as tends to happen a lot.

So you replace parts that have nothing wrong with them.

    Cheers

Yeh still got the old (faulty) one on the car. Had it in to retrieve DTC, TPS LOW VOLTAGE. (still giving trouble and throwing lights every chance it can). Before i place the new one on, it seems like i have to get the codes cleared after the new one goes on.
    OR
Should I, reset codes, (since the old one keeps playing up (only when driving) with the old one still attached, turn off ignition/ disconnect battery, pull off faulty unit, then install new unit?

Just chuck the new one on and start the car, don't even think you need to reset the ECU
