G'day,
Just got a 1 button key off ebay with boot release button.

Can I install the boot release mechanism into my car and have it work withour too much hassle.

It appears the wiring is there, will I need a new bcm?
Is this feasable?

Cheers eh.

ur going to need the hi bcm, its missin some vital components inside that controls the boot solenoid. u might even be lucky with a mid bcm, but im sure its a hi level u need

i've looked at this briefly, bought the solenoid and didnt get much further without the bcm.. there may be a way to add the missin bits, but would need both a hi n low bcm to compare.

high or lux BCM will do the trick, you will need to do some work with the BCM looms, add the component and get the keyhead programmed to BCM.

$50 for the BCM, good luck finding one second hand though, it can be a mission, $100 for the keyhead programming and a few hours of mucking around if you know what your doing.

all in all, I wouldnt do it, but good luck I hope you succeed.
