Installing satin inserts into a auto VY gear shifter

Anyone have any instrucions on how to install the satin insert and button into a vy auto shifter?

I'd like some sort of idea on what i'm doing before trying anything

Just use a thin blade down each side of the button, push in on each side, this will pop the button out. Then use a phillips screwdriver to remove the rest of the plastic part of the shifter handle. Putting the new one back in is virtually opposite.
