I'v only heard bad things about proffessional installers, or atleast ones from super-rice, ricer-barn and jb-hifi as they are on the clock and do bodgy jobs. My advise would be go to a specialist but still if you want it done properly do it yourself, its not hard and theres info everywhere about it.

BTW are you running an amp??

Jb Hifi did mine and i have never had a issue with it. Infact i keep adding to it and they make it cheaper to install coz the set up the wires for next time knowing im coming back. Meet and greet the installer. If they seem dodgey to you then walk away. simple. :)

ever since i saw the photo of a jb hi fi install where they cut the metal up in a parcel shelf to fit 6x9s, ive decided theyre never touching a car of mine.
im sure that someone experienced on this forum would install it for $200.

Yeah... with a bit of effort and time you can do it all yourself and you'll get that satisfying feeling at the end of it too. If you run into problems there's a numerous number of people on this and other forums willing to help out, one of which is me :p.

4ch is easy, you dont really always needa sub anyway, see how this goes and add a sub running of a mono amp later. Wiring for it will be fairly straight-forward, the hard part is mounting your gear eg. (fitting new H/U, pulling off door trims for splits, 6x9's on parcel shelf etc) but its all on here.

I had a diagram for a 4ch amp laying round which may help you with the wiring.
