Hey guys Ive recently purchased a 2010 VE SV6 and I was wondering is there a way to get the instant fuel reading on the dash without entering Engineering Mode?

    Cheers

No There isnt dude. Instant fuel is so inaccurate in my opinion. Snap the throttle for a a split second on my car it changes if I thrash it from 0-100 it reads 99 litres :/

Or you could try what I did, and change to a Calais cluster, like I did with my MY11 SV6.

However, I recommend caution until you have worked it out fully, i.e. don't spend money until you know where you are going to get it done. Some have succeeded, others have spent money and not achieved success.

The only way i think this is possible is with a cluster swap or using an OBD tool.

it's not inaccurate at all, it goes by throttle percent used so 'instant fuel' is a reading of fuel used in realtime

So if you're using full throttle (which reads 99%) it'll give you instant fuel of 99+ L/100kms because you're in fact squirting a huge amount of fuel into the cylinders. Use full throttle when you have a full tank and i'll doubt you'll ever travel 100kms or more
