It's the white text on pale grey background combo that's the issue. It's fine when it's lit up but far from ideal the rest of the time.

There are a few aftermarket clusters floating around (and one place in Sydney that is doing custom clusters) - but haven't seen any that look any good yet.

Never had an issue, Maybe you should get your eyes checked if it's that much of an issue.

Lol - worked with is very different to driving nearly 250,000 km in them. I don't know about other models but the SS(V) analogue speedo is not good.

It's more of an issue with sunglasses on like the op said. And more so if it's partly cloudy.
I'm not the only one who knows this is a problem.

I've never had an issue with any other car I've owned. But it's more of a pain in the arse than an issue.
