Hey there guys,
New member here and just starting to work on my old VR commodore. I'm currently in the process of replacing the intake gaskets and am having a little trouble. The repair manual I bought says I need to undo the coolant drain plugs on the block, but they're stuck hard. I'm wondering if that's necessary if I'm just going to be taking the intake off, giving it a clean and popping new gaskets back in. I've already drained the coolant from the radiator and also drained the oil as I'll be replacing the fluids and filters anyways.

Just making sure that when I pull it off, that I don't get a bunch of coolant spilling into areas it has no business being in.
Thanks guys

Don't try to undo those drains in the block they will be seized tight. Just drop the bottom rad hose.
