    Hey guys.
my intake manifold is leaking what seems to be oil right under the coil packs.
it leaks all the way to the belts and then the belts chuck the oil round everywhere
i also have a ugly idle car wobbles about quite a bit.

Is there anything that could need tightening as i really cant afford $140 gaskets plus radiator fluid and oil right now.

    Thanks guys

If you tighten the the manifold, your still going to have a leak because they have failed, and maybe make a bigger leak if you dont torque them in order. Best to replace them, You need to tighten them in a correct order with a torque wrench also. and to get to the bolts correctly, you need to remove the top intake, injectors and fuel rail, then you need new injector O rings. Just save till you can afford it mate, a little while wont hurt it, Id say they have been gone for months already.
My old vr had a blown one for about 2 years before i got around to doing it.

This how to might help http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...old-gasket-replacement-6hr-includes-pics.html

As for the Coil packs, Just remove the leads and 2 bolts and pull them up. Easy as.

As for the idle, You may just need to clean the throttle body and IAC valve. Another job to do when you change the gaskets.

Id suggest to purchase a manual for repairs if your asking how to remove coil packs and you want to change the manifold gaskets.

I've got the manual for repairs on cd :) I'm not completely stupid lmao I swear I've done plenty work just thought I'd ask while I'm at it.

Already cleaned up the engine bay realised how easy it was

I'd probably do the rocker cover gaskets first, clean everything down, then go from there. Change the plugs and maybe leads too, as well as cleaning the throttle body, and make sure it's been serviced recently.
