Found an interesting clip on youtube.

I know how much us reb heads love seeing crs being thrashed around (regardless of make) so I thought id post this here.

In this clip you get to see the ol '79' A9X Torana, A VZ SS commodore and a Holden V8 Supercar, head to head on one lap of bathurst.

absolutely awesome. love the old torrie. The V8 supercar made up a thirty second gap in one lap. very nice.

Good to see the ol' Trana aint that slow... now if Brocky had a 6 spd gearbox... stroker crank... and injection...the VZ driver would have something to worry about...

That lap was well below what the Torana is capable of, Brocky was asked to take it very easy. That car is worth LOTS of money and not easily fixable if it stacks big time

Twas actually trackside for that and although a great PR stunt none of the drivers were really giving the cars a caning...

It's similiar to the Brock vs Johnson races at the Gp a few years ago, looks great on the outside but it's all planned before hand

If Brocks A9X had a fresh engine and the correct 3.08 rear end (it's got a 3.55 in it) he wouldn't have run out of puff at the first hump in conrod, and he would have got past Cameron. Skaife would not have got to him till the last minute either.
