Does anyone know if the interior light can be set to off so it does not operate when the doors are opened?

Seeing as you have a Berlina you probably have more lights than the Queen Mary.
Quick, cheap but dodgy way to do it is to simply push the button in and screw in a small self tapping screw. Do this to one or all doors. I've done this many times and so far haven't damaged the buttons Dodgy but it works.

I might install a switch somewhere if it can't be turned off as the screw trick is good but may interfere with alarm system.

    rofll.

    love the screw idea..

or undo the first screw. and undo the wire thats on there and tape it.

as they are a switching ground. so if i touches metal your light will never turn off.
