Intermittent High Idle

    Hey guys,

    Every once and a while the car will idle high, 1000-1200rpm, where normally it is very happy at 700-750. It does this regardless of whether the engine is hot or cold. Only reason I mention it is it seems to be happening more often.

    Car's old, is it simply an age thing, slightly worn parts?

    sounds like it might be the iac (stepper motor) might be playing up
