Hey Nath, ya sure you dont want T & BP?? Ill hook ya up with a sweet deal :p

    ha!

Just CHURN ya number over to Telstra (there is no fee or contract) & then sign up for Naked, & drop T. That way there is no stupid hassles with them declaring its Optus's lines/numbers

Start hooking then. I'm just sick of maxing it out a week before the end of the month.

Oh, my limit for the Internet is $100 a month, and a phone on top of that (hardly make calls, but still want a normal phone line)

+1 Internode. Fast, Friendly staff @ support if you even need them (I Haven't). Reliable. Very competitive pricing. No Lock In Contracts.

If your phone is with optus you don't have to change providers to get broadband through internode. I have signed up some customers just last week with them that had their phone on optus.

How long was your waiting period. I wasn't prepared to wait a whole week (5 business days) to have it setup, so atm i havn't changed. I'll eventually get something else tho, you can only put up with optus for so long.

TPG is good, originally it took ages for line activation but thats cause telstra were ****ing slow and wouldnt do it.

But yeah they have some good plans, $50 a month gets you 50gb if i remember right, adsl2++ also

I use both iinet and internode and both are wonderful, never have any issues. TPG is an option but only if you really have too... Also why don't you get the bank to arrange a debit card for your account... is pretty much a credit card without credit.

We've got ADSL2 through TPG. I wouldn't recommend them. We have had nothing but trouble with the first 3 weeks of our connection being at speeds less than dial up at most times of the day. It's better now, after numerous complaints both on their forum and over the phone. It took threatening to involve the TIO to get some help. It's still what they advertised, but it's better. I'd suggest reading through their tech forum before signing up and make your own decision. Or go for the plan with no contract. I wish I did.....

My home phone line is Telstra, but I've recently switched to Netspace ADSL and they seem pretty good. $49.95 a month, no big upfront fees, 1500kbps, 16Gb limit on a shaped plan so you don't get caught out....
No real problems yet, except for a dilemma at the exchange stopped me from getting online for a little while.
I think they use optus at work...

I would never go telsta/Bigpong again. I was on optus and recently changed to adsl2 with telstra with around 80GB download, im getting speeds less than my old 1.5MB connection. i hate it im getting out asap.

Avoid supernerd internet like the plague. They stole from me, they lie, they are all wankers with no brains and they accused ME of being abusive!!! as if i'd be abusive!!! lol
It took 4 months and TIO complaint to get my money back from them after they over-charged me and lied to me and the TIO about their promised.
Avoid Supernerd internet!!! i can't say it any clearer and i hope google picks this up so everyone knows everytime they google it cheap internet.

I'm with netbay now because they are cheap dialup - dont know what their other plans are like.

I have the plan up from that, $99 and 20g usage, and the same home phone deals.

thats not the problem, i need more usage, (and its a plus for one that doesn't count uploads), and less dropouts.

    Ultimate Premium Plus 8000/50GB $99.95 8000k/384k~ 50GB a month limit
130 mb/s wireless to my laptop thru a belkin n series router and im in the country....so id imagine it would be faster in the city

thats with TPG and i get VoiP still cos i changed from a VoIP plan to a non VoIP plan

so 300 free minutes a month to any phone in within 400 k's of me comes in handy

i rekon its worth the $100 a month for the speed and reliability of it, never cuts out and only ahve had problems with my router being too slow but have that sorted out now

Im with Adam internet ADSL2+ and i recommend it to anyone in S.A. ive got a few of my mates onto it and at both of my houses.

    $69.99 = 40GB anytime of the day, 40GB upload and 40GB download.

Pretty happy with it and the friendly staff that help on the rare occasion that i have required them.

www @ ISP. Your Information Service Provider.

Currently paying $66 per month for line rental and ADSL2+ (up to 20mbps/812kbps) and 16gb download.

VERY happy with them and their service. I ditched those losers at Optus for ISP as Optus LIED to me when I set up my service with them - paying more money for less downloads, they didn't tell me about off peak/on peak, etc. and then when I told them I'm going to go elsewhere they couldn't even match the deal that ISP were offering.

Stay away from Optus. They're not worth the headaches.
