Is a pity such a great sport has come down to the power of the dollar and to think of all the great driver families like the cricks and Winterbottom's all started with speedway back in the day, lets hope we can come up with some form of speedway that the future generations can afford and do legally as I lost quite a few good friends back in the day due to street racing as back then we didn't have Eastern creek or even a drag strip as, like Liverpool speedway, Castlereagh Dragway was shut due to noise complaints( upsetting the cows so they farmers complaints read for closing it) . Speedway helped keep us off the streets taught us how to make use of what we had and preached rat technology( adapting other makes and models parts to suit your job).. As an old fart lucky enough to have seen and grown up with speedway I hope that someday it will return to what it was in my day as one of the cheapest and most popular forms of motor sports( compared to running cars at Amaroo and Oran park- track cars, formula v, super seadans groupE ect)back then the only thing cheaper than speedway was karting So lets hope someone will put the sport back before the mighty dollar and make speedway an affordable sport agian.. be it dirt or tar FOR GENARATIONS TO COME.

How about making sentences instead of one great big pile of writing.

2ndly...Burnout comps seem to be dominating cheap motorsport as such....Yes some don't see it that way but it helps get people off the street and mechanical minds ticking over

There is some dirt circuit stuff in S.A....It's done in a little town called Black Rock, near Peterborough.....They race on an open dirt track very much like a bitumen track with all sorts of classes...From basic cars to cars with modified cars that have engines from different makes in them....Not sure on costings but it does seem popular, with a few old street stocks getting on the track there
