Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing these guys live yet while they've been over here? I went on saturday night at the ACER arena. It has to be the best live show I have ever seen, for a bunch of 50 year olds, they make bands with blokes in their 20's look like geriatrics, the energy they have onstage is phenomenal.
lol the closest we got was the airport to see there plane, looks awesome. I'm not a fan, hubby is but he cant go to concerts.
I took one of my mates, and my girlfriend who doesn't even like rock music, let alone metal, and both of them walked away saying it was incredible. It's one of those gigs that you don't even need to appreciate the music to enjoy, the sets, pyrotechnics, crowd involvement and performance are all at an epic level it's impossible to not get engrossed in it. Your husband missed out big time, they said they'll be back soon again, hopefully it wasn't just words
I love how bands do this - they say we'll be back and everyone goes crazy. And then you never see them again haha.
Yeah I get yu, rub it in lol, If you re-read my reply, I said my hubby cant go to concerts, not that I wouldnt let him, I would of let him go in a shot
Apparently the lead singer flew his boeing 757 into melbourne. He also works as a captain for a british airline.
Yep I guess so, up close the plane is a POS dents & scratches etc all over it lol I wouldnt wanna fly in it!
I thought you meant he couldn't goto the concerts this time around. If he's got some reason that he can't goto any concerts then fair enough... I wasn't trying to rub it in.
Went to the ACER one sat night, was awesome!!! Crazy good. Hope they do come back! will go again. Only came second to the Motley Crue one i went to a few years ago (HUGE motley fan!!)
Yeah i went last Wednesday in Melbourne, we started at about 10th row in the pit, ended up getting to 2nd row, by pretty much people pushing us. Then the crowd surfers got us to front row. Was pretty hectic but all in all was a ****en great night, a show i will never forget thats for sure. Something to definallty brag about, "I saw Iron Maiden". Cant believe i saw Steve Harris up close, hes my idol (as a bass player personally) Number of the Beast went absolutly off its tits, we were i think 4th or 5th row back at the time and those flames felt like hell thats for sure. Rime of the Ancient Mariner was also a great song, with good stage theatrics.
Like i said to my mate when he said after the show "Bruce said theyll be back". Bruce probally said the exact same thing 15 years ago when they last toured.
Without a doubt, he also said it about 4 or 5 times throughout the gig, so I'm keeping my hopes up haha. It's definitely one band removed from my "Bands I have to see before I die" list. I was going to buy a ticket for the 2nd show after saturday night, but my mate wisely said do you really want to ruin this memory just in case something goes wrong Wise words, it was a night that just couldn't be topped.
Yeah man, i couldve easily walked in front of a bus after the show and died having known i fufilled my purpose of seeing one of the greatest metal acts of all time.
There are no more GREAT metal acts comming, they are all dead and have been overshadowed by the idiots who cant hold their drink. Do you think Lemmy Kilmister ever went to rehab, Probally not. Do you think Dr Phil had a talk to Slash about drinking Jack Daniels for breakfast, NO. The greats are gone. I wish i was back in the 80s. It pains me to say that the good music is behind us. Im waiting for one more band then im complete. AC ****ING DC.
There is a persistent rumour that the original Black Sabbath will tour this year or next year, but I'm not holding my breath.
Yeah theres always lots of rumors, there was a rumor that AC/DC were gonna tour here something like 3 years ago. Gotta move to England, DONNINGTON!
I got it off two mates who's band is supporting Budgie. Budgie know Sabbath quite well, given they were the support act and nitially rivals in the 70's until Sabbath stomped all over them.
