Just wondering if anybody has bought one of those anti tramp brackets from ebay and how is it holding up?. It does sort of look good in principle, but I think there are a couple of design flaws that will leave you with nothing but scrap aluminium.

The Harrop also gives greater oil volume, coupled with the increased surface area should mean the diff runs a little cooler all else been equal.

Yeah. The Harrop product is engineered to perform. Not as Jeremy Clarkson would say, built by a spanner, with a hammer. There is only one product i would buy if I was going to outlay the money.

I have the Harrop rear cover in my otherwise fairly stock VT and its fantastic.

Pretty much no tramp anymore. It does transfer more road noise but not so much anyone would care.

Just changing the rear diff mount to any brand or type isn't going to reduce axle tramp by 90% (just sayin). Also pretty crap the dig at the Harrop being twice the price, its 3 times the product, strong, well engineered & proven.

Holden Commodore Calais IRS Anti Tramp Bracket VQ VP VR VS VT VX VY VZ | eBay

$225 for a crappy home made bracket with sh*tty welds....................... no thanks

PS cos the alloy would be heaps stronger then the heavy stell OEM part too lol
