Whoa. Are you ready?

Everything out of the front. Everything. Replace the HVAC box with a climate control HVAC box.

Then change the wiring harness to a high spec harness from a Calais or similar.

Then the high level BCM to operate the climate control.

That will need reflashing to be VIN matched to your car.

Then there may be the airbags. Not sure if your SV6 has the same number of airbags as Calais so that could create headaches for the BCM’s operation.

In short, sell the SV6. Buy a Calais.

A VZ is not a Calais, and a Calais is not a VZ, and bits and pieces cannot actually be cut and pasted, much as people would like that. I agree with Fu that you'd be looking at a significant investment in time, money and frustration, and the better choice is to trade the VZ and get a Calais. Climate control alone is worth the jump, additional to progressive refinements forward of your 2004 SV6.

VZ Executive, VZ SV6, VZ Berlina, VZ SSV, VZ Calais, WL Statesman, WL Caprice. There’s a few I missed for deliberate reasons of laziness.

Each has various trim levels and electronic features that make retro fitting as much fun as cleaning toilets.
