I'm in the middle of pulling my engine apart and on inspection of the manifold gaskets they seem to be the problem. My question is can you blow both your manifold and head gaskets and also, are the heads still likely to be warped if the head gasket isn't blown?

    Hi
From your last post Im thinking warped/cracked heads are the least of your problems...you said you had low compression and the car stalled,so Im thinking it might have seized as it got so hot...

Low comp could be from stuffed head gaskets as well.

I once replaced the inlet manifold gasket on a VR where water was gushing out of the exhaust and the oil was full of water. (had good compression though) The inside of the engine looked much like yours when removing the rocker cover. I replaced the inlet manifold gasket, changed the oil and the car ran good again. The engine did not last though as the sump pickup became blocked with sludge and starved the engine of oil. My advise change the engine, ecotec engine are cheap as chips.
