i have just come across an ebay listing, claiming to give more hp, by putting a resistor in the air temp sensor, to tell it that the air is colder, therefor giving the car more fuel etc.
i have a mate who did this but does it really work?
also, how do you reset the ecu, as he is claiming you have to do this to reach the full potential.

Some say it works, some say it doesn't. I don't know. You reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about a minute.

It's a waste of money. Try the search function - this has been discussed several times.
There is no point making your car think it's getting cold air if it isn't.

Your car has oxygen sensors for a reason.

If your car runs too lean it can be severely damaged, so if you're taking in hotter air and still running a lean mix, you expect some problems further down the track.

Want more power cheaply? By $30 worth of PVC pipe and create your own CAI.

Don't waste money on a resistor. You can buy it at dick smith for $1.50 if you want
