Is it worth transmission swapping my VE

I would just like to get the opinion of others on whether or not to swap my current automatic transmission out for a manual one or just buy a manual commodore

Ill still need to source the parts and find someone brave enough to take on the job, but i haven't quite made my mind up

Bit of work to do the conversion as dash needs to be removed to install the manual firewall plate that holds the pedal assembly and brake booster

Yeah that was exactly my thought and ive had a look around and decided against it just not worth it

Wouldn’t think there’d be that many manual v6’s out there? But agreed definitely more hassle than it’s worth

Then you will miss out on the joy of when your clutch cable pulls through the firewall. Nothing is more fun than having to limp your car home without a clutch.

There hasn't been a Commodore with a clutch cable since the S1 VS.

Just buy a manual car, if you're getting somebody else to do it the labour and ECU work needed make it not worth it. ECU side, I'm sure it's not hard if you have the right tools and access to the appropriate settings/files, it's just that it's not documented at all really so highly likely there would be a fair bit of dicking around for a while which is not good if you're paying somebody else.
