The small radiator cooling fan stopped working today. I tried spinning it with my hand to see if it is a wire problem or the motor. It was pretty solid so it was obvious the motor gave out.

I found one at the wreckers but it was the big fan. The guy said the motors are both the same and that i can just swap the blades/fan. I did that.

Now the temperature sits at less than 1/4 when the AC is on...as thats the only time the fans are constantly on.

I also changed the fuse relay because it too went bust.
Im not sure now if it is because of the new relay or the fan motor that i got is too strong.

So, are both the fan motors the same and only the blades are different? Or or the motors different?

    Cheers!

even if you had a hurricane blowing through the radiator the engine temperature should be maintained by the coolant thermostat. Sounds like yours is not operating or is jammed open if the temperature is not staying just under the half way mark and wont warm up.
