I'm currently trying to take off my MAF in my VX V6, however i can't for the life of me remove the front of the MAF from the lid of the airbox. Is there some kind of trick to this beyond brute force? I have obviously loosened the hose clamp.

Put the lid between your legs and twist the MAF side to side while pulling it away from the lid, usually comes off pretty easy this way.

It's a sign you don't clean your MAF meter enough.
My mechanic cleans it every time I get a service. The thing is spotless.

I'll stake a bet he squirts some **** down the airbox. I pull mine off three monthly, it falls off.

Very hard to tell when it's dirty by eye.
