Hey guys, Firstly, I'm not looking at getting it I was just wondering if it's actually legit as i know nothing about turbo's. Anyone know if it's legit or if it's crap? I saw the price and it doesn't look believable.
it may or may not be crap, but its deffently not complete, there is no manifolds and its all universal parts. if you have a look at his other auctions, he has the same kit for different cars. but that doesnt mean its crap, cause you still get a turbo, intercooler, BOV, turbo timer, thermo fan, fitler, for dirt cheap
You're right, but sometimes there can be a difference case. @Naf33n, He has another kit which comes with alot more in it for $900 or something.. I thought it was pretty cheap i just thought I'd ask haha.
Cheap chinese intercoolers, piping etc = generally ok. Only thing to look out for is welding slag inside the pipework/intercooler that may dislodge and damage the turbo/engine. Cheap chinese turbos = only if you don't mind the idea of your engine inhaling fragments of turbo impeller when the shitty bearings fail. Some chinese turbos are ok, some are just plain crap though. If you had a $500 VN or something it might be worth the gamble. The extra cost of decent turbo will be very minimal in the scheme of things once you factor in manifolds, tuning, etc.
