    hey
not sure if this is the right section for this but mods can move it.

i was in a car accident today. cars infront stopped suddenly, i was far enough to stop easily. but the car behind me wasnt looking and smashed into the left side of my car.
all i wanna no is, is there any real bad damage? in my opinion yes, coz the whole left side of the back is bent down a good inch. in the pics u see, the boot lid is perfectly normal. its the chassy that is stuffed.
how much will it be to fix? it cant be a rite off, can it? ( according to some ppl)
    cheers
    pics..

Hard to say but it's possible they might write it off. Old commies aren't worth much these days so even a small bingle can cause it to be written off.

Depends on what the floor and seems in and around the boot ended up like...

If the chassis is bent maybe more than $2,000? Is it insured and how much for? Who's it insured with? Was the person that hit you insured? Because it wasn't your fault it (theoretically) shouldn't cost you anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they did write it off. Some insurers like mine asked me if I wanted mine written off when I was rear ended and I said I wanted it repaired.

As long as you have all their details, then your insurance should fix it for you if they are in the wrong & have no insurance. Then your company will sue them for the money.
