I was on holiday in vic and had a '07 corolla rented for me. I give it a bit of **** when my mrs & kid wasnt in the car. When I took it back I got 553k's from 10L. Ive never seen economy that good before are the astras & barinas like that too?
lol i should scan the recipt i got. it says odometer out 25900 and odometer in 26453 thats 553k's and i put $10 @ 99.9c in it and it pretty much overflowed out the tank
how big is the tank? does anyone know? because if its a 65lt tank (just guessing) that would mean it would get about 3,500ks per tank... doubtful :/
well no way you got that many km's to 10 litre's you asked if its right im and telling you its not lmao
yeah i dont really understand it either.. melb airport to mornington mornington to frankston 2x maybe 3x mornington to rosebud west mornington to mt isa mornington to melb airport plus a bit of running around to the beach and **** like that if i put more fuel in it would have been on my feet. the rent-a-car place must have ****ed up somewhere
The corollas are good on fuel but what you are quoting is not possible. That is 1.8 L/100km. Highly unlikely. Reaper
Lmao, there's No Way a Corolla, let alone any other car could get 553km from 10l of fuel. Fuel tank Capacity in Corolla's ranges from 50-55lts
the fuel gauge went back to full?, sounds like there was just a flow problem into the tank and it backed up hitting the shutoff. or the other alternative, the pump was faulty, very unlikely. 1.8L/100km, impossible.
Those were my thoughts, I know we've got one pump at a Shell near my place that always insisted my old car was full, would only put 1-2L in it when it was running on fumes. bastard pump No other cars had the issue though, so mine was fiddly.
yeah it was full, otherwise the rental place would have charged me $3.30 per litre for every litre it took to put the car back up to full, and it started dribbling out the filler. I made sure it was full, **** $3.30 a litre lol. even if those figures are wrong, 5 days and all that driving for $10, cant complain. the only thing i can see where it went wrong is the odometer in and odometer out numbers were wrong.
It's not even possible in a Prius... Their fuel consumption is 4L/100km from memory. That fuel consumption is just barely possible on a 125cc scooter.
