how big is the tank? does anyone know? because if its a 65lt tank (just guessing) that would mean it would get about 3,500ks per tank... doubtful :/

The corollas are good on fuel but what you are quoting is not possible. That is 1.8 L/100km. Highly unlikely.

ROFL if they really did have fuel economy as good as that, i'd be buying one as a daily driver.

Lmao, there's No Way a Corolla, let alone any other car could get 553km from 10l of fuel.
Fuel tank Capacity in Corolla's ranges from 50-55lts

the fuel gauge went back to full?, sounds like there was just a flow problem into the tank and it backed up hitting the shutoff.
or the other alternative, the pump was faulty, very unlikely.
    1.8L/100km, impossible.

Those were my thoughts, I know we've got one pump at a Shell near my place that always insisted my old car was full, would only put 1-2L in it when it was running on fumes. bastard pump :( No other cars had the issue though, so mine was fiddly.

yeah it was full, otherwise the rental place would have charged me $3.30 per litre for every litre it took to put the car back up to full, and it started dribbling out the filler. I made sure it was full, **** $3.30 a litre lol. even if those figures are wrong, 5 days and all that driving for $10, cant complain. the only thing i can see where it went wrong is the odometer in and odometer out numbers were wrong.

It's not even possible in a Prius... Their fuel consumption is 4L/100km from memory.

That fuel consumption is just barely possible on a 125cc scooter.
