Hey ppl, got a question for ya's.. Ive got a VS V8 Executive, it has 2 and a half extractors and single exaust wit no cat and cold air intake.. i just run it on the dyno 2day and it put out 147.3rkw.. is that standard or would be chiped? dyno sais it was standard so i was thinkin of getting a chip for it. Is it gona go ne beta coz i resently bought a sopoused chip for it and it ran to rich wit 142 at da wheels.. any help will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!! da chip im lookin at It will suit a VS V8 series one, Auto, It has been done for a car to run CAI, extractors and exhaust. Them memcal is a genuine Holden one, its just been modified. but mines a sreies 2.. ive been told theres no difference..
147@rears is fantastic, keeping in mind that no cat is illegal. Have a look at the AFR's on the dyno map and see if it needs a tune or not, that should tell you.
Check out "his ride" it`s a V8 so must be a BT1 or something. When I saw executive I thought ecotec not 5000.
looking at the AFR's on the map id say dont worry about a tune as it wont pick up too much, for a bolt on engine you dont want much more than a approx13.5:1 ratio, most of yours are around that. For a $700 dyno tune they might lean it out and pick up a few kw's, but not many. If you are going to tune it wait till you have done some modding to the insides. The series 1 memcal will be fine, and considering its modified id say its got a tune of some saught what? Execs did come with the 5lt option. Just because its an 8 doesnt mean its a cop car.
is Defiently a cop car, Use to do patrol in NSW. Got the reports to show it. Plus when ive been pulled over the 1st thing they say is "ah this is one of our cars" it must come up on there computers when they do rego check..
ah fair enough, its probably that it shows up as a -bt1 on the vehicle id. Plus the dash will be different, and a few other bits a pieces
yeah my car comes up as an ex police car but i already knew it was because of the owners book but mine is an A9C not bt-1 i think does anybody know what that is?
